Shura

What Is Shura?

Shura at the NJIT MSA is composed of a group of highly motivated individuals who were elected to serve and represent the General Body. Asides from the responsibilities associated with their roles, members of Shura are expected to uphold the highest Islamic values, strive to increase their knowledge, and stand as supporting pillars of the community.

The goal of the Shura is to strengthen the ties of brotherhood and sisterhood on campus and assist others in becoming better Muslims. During their term, they are committed to being sincere mentors, active volunteers, and trustworthy confidants for matters inside and outside of the MSA.

Meet The Advisor

Professor Mohammad Feknous

Professor Feknous is a University Lecturer for the Electrical & Computer Engineering Department under the Newark College of Engineering here at NJIT. He has been the advisor for the MSA for the past 20 years and has contributed tremendously to the massive growth of the club.
