Mission:
The mission of the Muslim Student Association is to unite students of all backgrounds and encourage diversity and harmony throughout campus. Our main goal is to spread hope and happiness to all people, and show that, regardless of society's physical, religious, or mental differences, we can all unite under one common ground: the desire for peace. As a result, the purpose of our organization is to create events, meetings, and talks that unify students on campus and allow them to have an opportunity to belong to a group that provides a positive influence in their lives.
Objective:
The main objectives of the Muslim Student Association are to create a community of strong brotherhood and sisterhood among our members, increase their knowledge of Islam, and provide a wide range of events that cater to all NJIT students.
What We Do
General Body Meetings and Dawah Meetings
The goal of our GBMs is to keep our members up to date with the latest events and make sure that their voice is heard. In addition to event planning, the general body seeks to discuss social issues and dilemmas that afflict our community so that awareness and dialogue can be established. Ultimately, GBMs are the main connection between Shura and the general body, since the MSA relies on both to remain active and useful for the entire community.
Dawah is a form of worship that requires a general knowledge of Islam. By conducting Dawah meetings we provide the resources needed in order to perform the optimal level of dawah for our community. Our meetings consist of teaching the methodologies as well as acquiring the manners and characteristics shown to us by the Prophet Muhammad (saw).
Bi-Weekly Dawah Tables
Dawah table is where we try to set up a table on campus with free Qurans, books, Pamphlets, and other cool stuff. Usually, our volunteer brothers and sisters stay there and interact with the general body by answering any questions regarding Islam. Just staying there and being present is a good form of dawah as well. Please join us in spreading the message of Islam.

Islamic Awareness Week
Islamic Awareness Week(IAW) is a week-long event hosted by MSA during the Fall semester. During this time, MSA holds daily Dawah booths at the NJIT Campus Center and answers questions about Islam. These Dawah booths help those interested in Islam to better navigate their own questions and to re-direct them to essential resources for attaining Islamic knowledge. Furthermore, daily speaker events will be hosted during this week where members can also come and increase their own knowledge about Islam and the teaching of Rasulullah(SWS).
Halallywood
Halallywood is the BIGGEST MSA event of the year, where members display their talents in a talent show. In addition, a movie is made starring members of MSA which will be shown on the day of the event. We got vendors, snacks, candies, and many more exciting treats for all attendees.
