The halaqaat are up and ready to go!
Sign up for the halaqaat you are interested in and begin gaining knowledge for the sake of ALLAH(swt). Put aside those excuses and make a consistent effort to attend one halaqa on a weekly basis. We will be having "knowledge circles " Mondays - Thursdays at various times to fit your schedule. All of the halaqa leaders are well qualified and ready to begin teaching their interesting topics.
Sign up sheets can be found in the MSA room for all FOUR halaqaat and on njitmsa.org soon bi 2ithnillah.
Monday - (4:30-6:00) - Muhammad Salem - Tahfidh (Quran Memorization)
Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “It will be said to the companion of the Qur'an: Recite and rise in status, recite as you used to recite in the world, for your status will be at the last verse that you recite.” This hadith was classed as sahih by al-Albaani in al-Silsilah al-Saheehah
Tuesday - (4:45-6:00) - Diaa Khamis - Quran Basic Tajweed and Discussion
InshaAllah I plan to have a circle of brothers, where we will inshaAllah go around and read a page each starting from the beginning of the mushaf. Hopefully, I would be correcting the basic tajweed mistakes, along side sharing interesting stories and ahadith about Quran so that inshaAllah we feel motivated to read and learn more about the Quran and how to live it in our lives. I may on occasions speak about tafsir but the main focus is to improve our recitation as Allah says, in the Quran, "Those to whom We have sent the Book study(recite) it as it should be studied (recite): They are the ones that believe therein.." (2:121)
Wednesday - (1:00-2:30) - Emad Hamdeh - Fiqh of Prayer
Thurday - (5:15 - 6:00) - Mostafa Hijazi - Marriage
The purpose of the halaqa is to enlighten and openly discuss the topic of marriage in accordance to Quran
and Sunnah. It is a well-known fact that Allah(swt) has ordained marriage for his believers as He said: "And marry
those among you who are single…." (24:33). Moreover, our beloved Prophet Mohammad (saws) has said, "Marriage is my Sunnah and whoever does not follow my Sunnah is not my true follower."(Ibn Haiah, Babun Nikah). The intended outcomes of this halaqa is to encourage our beloved messenger'(saws) Sunnah of getting married at a young age as well as gain a more sufficient understanding on the laws of marriage, the overall process of attaining a righteous spouse, the rights of each partner, and more. In addition, real-life experiences will also be communicated and discussed within the group so that brothers will be familiarized with the marriage process and the approaches that should be taken with a potential spouse.
Friday - (2:30-3:30) An-Nawawi's 40 Hadith + Discussion of Sahaba (RA) with Br. Babar Khan
Together we will study and examine the special ahadeeth chosen by Imam An-Nawawi, Those Hadith that serve to summarize the religion of Islam. In these sessions we will be covering the hadith that scholars have said have encompassed half the religion. We will extract beneficial lessons by studying the Men (and Woman) who relayed these beautiful Pearls of Muhammad (sallahu allahi wassalam) in order to increase our Love, Fear, and Hope of Allah (azza wajal). Don't miss out!
